Empowering Athletes Beyond Sport

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

A2A Foundation is an organization that values diversity, equity, and inclusion as essential to our mission.

We acknowledge that historical and institutional barriers—particularly racial bias and discrimination—play a role in the over prioritizing athletic success as a the means an end as opposed to providing access and resources to build students up as individuals. A2A Foundation focuses our work on young athletes and their families who are historically under supported in the areas of personal and professional development, specifically who:

  • Come from underrepresented minority groups, including African American/Black, Hispanic or Latina, Bi/ Multiracial, Native American/Alaskan, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander;
  • Come from low-income backgrounds, specifically free and/or reduced lunch eligible;
  • Interest to continue playing their sport at the college level
  • Have had a lack of exposure to college preparation resources

A2A Foundation acknowledges and values the intersections of race/ethnicity, gender identity and expression, class, sexual orientation, ability, age, national origin, and religious/spiritual identities. We welcome people who identify as non-binary or gender nonconforming.
